Pasture Cay

Pasture Cay was once used as a cattle pasture.

A research project is underway on the cay and shore visits and pets are not permitted.

A triangular shaped reef is set in 25 feet of water northeast of the cay. A buoy nearby marks the remains of a light plane from the 1980’s which is a fun snorkel.

The Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park was the world’s first protected area of its kind, when created in 1959 by the same legislation that established the Bahamas National Trust.
